Andrew Marty might earn the title as the most athletic quarterback in the B1G.

Marty, a rising redshirt sophomore at Northwestern, was one of a handful of football players who fired up participants in the Dance Marathon this weekend, an event to raise money for Communities in Schools Chicago. He also showed off his insane athleticism.

The quarterback took centerstage when he landed a standing backflip, energizing the crowd and drawing huge cheers. Here’s Marty impressing the crowd with his athleticism:

There probably aren’t many quarterbacks that have that ability.

Marty is going to be a redshirt sophomore in 2019 and will challenge for the starting job next fall, along with Hunter Johnson and T.J. Green. He hasn’t appeared in a game during his short time in Evanston.

If Marty can throw the ball as well as he can land a backflip, we could see some serious competition at the quarterback spot at Northwestern in the spring and summer.
