On Friday morning, Ohio State true freshman and five-star defensive end Zach Harrison lost his black stripe, officially becoming a Buckeye. He will be the last player to lose the black stripe this spring, as the team will hold its annual spring game on Saturday.

Harrison is the second true freshman and five-star prospect to shed the black stripe, joining wide receiver Garrett Wilson.

Harrison was the highest-ranked player in Ohio State’s 2019 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.

As a prospect, Harrison was ranked the No. 12 overall player in the cycle and was the top recruit out of Ohio. He was listed as the second-best strong-side defensive end. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound lineman will have the chance to show off his skills Saturday at Ohio State’s spring game.

The Buckeyes are scheduled to take the field on Saturday at noon ET. The game will also be broadcasted live on BTN.
