Dwayne Haskins has been on quite the roller coaster throughout the draft process. He’s gone from the top quarterback available in this year’s NFL Draft to seeing his stock potentially drop with the rise of Kyler Murray and Drew Lock.

Over the last several weeks, experts have debated about Haskins’ potential and whether or not he’ll take a dip in next week’s NFL Draft. But those reports aren’t scaring the former Ohio State quarterback.

“I couldn’t care less,” Haskins said on ESPN’s First Take. “I did well at the Combine, did well at meetings at the Combine. I threw the ball well at Pro Day and I did well at my visits and my meetings. I did what I had to do as far as this process. It’s just been a long time. I’m ready to go play football again. Draft is next week, so we’ll see what happens.”

Haskins threw for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns in his only season as the starting quarterback at Ohio State. He was the B1G’s Offensive Player of the Year and finished third in the Heisman voting.

The rise of Murray and Lock have brought some to question where Haskins will be drafted come Thursday evening. Some still believe he’s the best quarterback in the draft while others think he might be the No. 3 guy at the position available.

But Haskins isn’t so much worried about the draft as much as making a name for himself once he’s in the league.

“It’s not necessarily worrying about who’s in this class, I want to be one of the greats,” Haskins said. “That’s what I’m working to be. Whether it’s a guy here or Kyler or whomever else is in the class, they’re all great quarterbacks and I respect their game. But I know me. I know my potential. I know what I’m working to be.”

The NFL Draft kicks off next Thursday.
