A high school sprinter thinks he can beat NFL wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. in a foot race and wants to take up the star on his $10,000 bet.

Recently, Ginn told Bleacher Report’s Adam Lefkoe that he would be willing to bet “$10,000 or better” that he could beat anyone in a race. Already, record-breaking high school sprinter Matthew Boling wants to take the receiver up on his challenge.

Boling is a senior track star at Houston’s Strake Jesuit who has broken numerous records throughout his career. He’s earned the nickname “White Lightning” because of his success on the track. He responded to Ginn’s challenge on Twitter.

Boling recently broke 10 seconds in the 100-meter dash. He posted a wind-aided time of 9.98 seconds, an accomplishment that’s pinned to his Twitter account.

Ginn was a former track star as well, so this could set up a pretty interesting competition. We’ll see if Ginn sets up the opportunity for Boling to prove he’s one of the fastest runners in the country.
