Day gave a direct message to The Best Damn Band in the Land and encouraged the band for their support, per Eleven Warriors’ Griffin Strom:

“We have the best damn band in the land. We have the best damn fans in the land. This year we’re on a chase to be the best damn team in the land,” Day said.

Ohio State is on a quest to reach the College Football Playoff for the 2nd time under Day. In a similar message, Cage noted the importance of improving from week-to-week:

“Be better than we were last week,” Cage said. “We beat Notre Dame, but that’s last week. This week, I will need to feel everybody’s energy.”

The Buckeyes took down Notre Dame in the season opener and will turn to Arkansas State in Week 2. Kickoff will take place at 12 p.m. ET.
