Urban Meyer won’t be raking in millions of dollars on an annual basis any longer, but the former Ohio State head coach is still making six figures in his new role with the university.

Eleven Warriors recently reported that Meyer will earn a $100,000 salary in his new position as assistant athletic director of athletics initiatives and relations. The details of his role were also described by the university.

The Assistant AD, Athletics Initiatives and Relations is responsible for fundraising and community relations initiatives and is committed to excellence and advancing Department of Athletics through its strategic plan. In alignment with the department’s mission and values, and in conjunction with the Executive Associate Athletics Director for Development, this position provides leadership and supports fundraising strategies for the Department of Athletics.

Meyer announced his retirement as head coach after Ohio State’s victory in the B1G Championship Game in early December. His final game was in the Rose Bowl. The Buckeyes defeated Washington to finish the year 13-1.

Had Meyer remained the head coach in Columbus, he would’ve made $8 million for the 2019 season.

According to a report from Sporting News, Meyer is also nearing a deal with FOX Sports to become one of the lead analysts for its college football coverage.
