Penn State’s 2020 recruiting class just received a huge upgrade in size.
On Monday, 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive lineman Olu Fashanu gave his verbal pledge to the Nittany Lions. The Washington D.C. native made his announcement public via Twitter and becomes the 11th player to commit to the 2020 class.
“I want to thank each and every university that has offered me an opportunity to play (for) them for believing in me and wanting me to be a part of their program,” Fashanu wrote. “With that being said I am 100% committed to The Pennsylvania State University!”

With Fashanu’s commitment, Penn State’s 2020 recruiting class ranks 10th nationally and second in the B1G, behind only Ohio State.
A four-star offensive tackle, Fashanu is ranked as one of the top 350 prospects in the 2020 recruiting class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s listed as the No. 32 player at his position and a top five recruit out of D.C.
Fashanu had 17 offers and chose Penn State over other blueblood programs like Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma.
