James Franklin and Penn State are gearing up to resume B1G play in Week 5. After an early win over Purdue and 3-0 performance in nonconference play, the Nittany Lions will face Northwestern in Week 5.

One key matchup for that game is Penn State’s defensive front getting the chance to go against Peter Skoronski. Despite the rough patch for the Wildcats, Skoronski is one of the best left tackles in the country and a legitimate NFL Draft prospect.

During his Tuesday press conference, Franklin revealed he believes his defensive group is excited for the challenge. According to Franklin, such challenges are why guys come to Penn State in the first place.

So far, Dani Dennis-Sutton leads the team with 3 sacks with Johnny Dixon second with 2 sacks. A host of other players are all tied with 1 sack apiece, including Ji’Ayir Brown, Abdul Carter and Chop Robinson.

We’ll see if the Nittany Lions can get the best of Skoronski this weekend.
