One of the best running backs in the 2020 recruiting class has announced his top seven schools, and Penn State remains in the mix.

Sunday afternoon, Daniyel Ngata, a four-star all-purpose back out of Folsom, California revealed his top seven schools via Twitter. Penn State is still in the running, along with Arizona State, Clemson, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas A&M and Utah.

Ngata is listed as the No. 2 all-purpose back in the 2020 cycle and is the ninth-best back overall in the class. A 5-foot-9, 180-pound ball carrier, Ngata is ranked as the No. 48 overall player in the class, per 247Sports.

He’s also the second-best prospect out of California.

Penn State has done an excellent job on the recruiting trail with the 2020 class. Already, the Nittany Lions have locked up verbal commitments from 11 players, six of which are four-star athletes. Currently, Penn State’s class ranks second in the B1G — behind Ohio State — and 13th nationally.

Ngata has received over two dozen offers.
