Transfers come in, transfers leave. There are a number of different reasons why, but regardless, it happens. It’s the nature of college football.

On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Penn State was losing safety Josh Petrishen to Pittsburgh. Petrishen, a grad transfer, chose the Panthers, who are a part of the ACC:

Petrishen appeared in all 13 games for the Nittany Lions a season ago and has two years left of eligibility.

Petrishen is a former three-star prospect from Central Catholic High School and is from Pittsburgh, Pa. The move ultimately gets him closer to home.

Petrishen was also a part of James Franklin’s first full recruiting class back in 2015.
