Another Penn State player is exploring transfer opportunities.

On Monday, Sean Fitz of 247Sports confirmed that former Nittany Lions running back Mark Allen was in the NCAA transfer portal and will explore other options. He will apply for a sixth year of eligibility after missing most of the 2018 season with a knee injury.

Allen played in three games for the Nittany Lions last year, totaling 99 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. In his career in Happy Valley, the running back has tallied 353 yards and four touchdowns.

Allen has played in 29 career games at Penn State.

It’s been an active offseason for the Nittany Lions, which has had over a dozen players enter the transfer portal since the conclusion of the 2018 season. Five players also declared for early entry for the NFL Draft.
