Just a few days after Penn State’s basketball season came to an end, the program has announced it has made a tweak to the 2019-20 schedule.
Penn State released a statement saying that it will be a participant in the 2019 NIT Season Tip-Off during the week of Thanksgiving. The event will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. It will be the first time the Nittany Lions have played in the event.
Along with Penn State, the other three teams participating will be Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Syracuse. Games will be played from Nov. 20 – Nov. 22.
The Nittany Lions ended the 2018-19 campaign with a 14-18 record and went 7-13 in B1G play. The record wasn’t representative of how well the team was playing at the end of the regular season, winning five of its last six games and six of its final eight contests.
Penn State registered wins over Michigan and Maryland near the end of the year, as well.
