Falling to the Iowa Hawkeyes, 41-21, in State College on November 21, the Penn State Nittany Lions dropped to 0-5 for the first time in the 134-year history of the program.

Meeting virtually with the media on Tuesday, junior wide receiver Jahan Dotson stressed the importance of keeping a competitive mindset.

“We have to act like winners,” he began.

“We have to want to win every single period. We don’t want to leave the practice field knowing we could’ve done something else.”

He added redshirt junior Sean Clifford and the rest of the quarterbacks gathered the entire offense on Sunday to watch film and many players were working in the building on Monday, which is the team’s normal day off.

A graduate of Nazareth Area (Pennsylvania) High School, Dotson has appeared in 26 games in his Nittany Lion career, tallying 71 receptions for 1,218 yards (17.2 avg.) and 11 touchdowns.

His 11 receiving scores are just four behind Mike Gesicki, Joe Jurevicius and Terry Smith for a share of tenth on the program’s all-time list.

Penn State will travel to Ann Arbor to battle the Michigan Wolverines (2-3) at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday on ABC.
