Jeff Brohm is receiving plenty of praise after leading Purdue to an upset win over No. 2 Ohio State on Saturday. One BTN analyst may have paid the Boilermakers head coach the highest compliment.

BTN’s Chuck Long spoke highly of Brohm following the 49-20 win over the Buckeyes, calling him the best play-caller in America.

“He’s the best play-caller in the country right now, I think,” Long said. “He uses all his weapons so well. He gives you a lot of formations and variations, it’s hard to get a beat on this offense right now.”

Ohio State certainly had trouble figuring out the Purdue offense on Saturday night. The Boilers racked up 539 yards of offense, and presented a very balanced attack. David Blough for 378 yards and D.J. Knox added 128 yards on the ground.

All night, the Buckeyes had trouble pinpointing exactly how the Boilermakers planned to move the football.

“That Purdue offense is rolling,” Long said.

Purdue improved to 4-3 with the win and is 3-1 in B1G play. Next week, the Boilers travel to East Lansing to take on Michigan State.
