After appearing in bowl games in back-to-back years, Purdue is reaping the benefits with its season ticket sales.

Purdue Football revealed on Twitter recently that it’s seen a boost in its season ticket sales this offseason, selling over 2,500 more packages than the 2018 season. Sales have continued to increase each year since Jeff Brohm was named head coach in West Lafayette.

The Boilermakers are coming off a 6-7 season, which included wins over Boston College, Ohio State, Iowa and Indiana. The season ended with a trip to the Music City Bowl.

In Brohm’s two seasons in West Lafayette, Purdue is 13-13 with trips to two bowl games. The Boilers are also 7-6 in games at Ross-Ade Stadium.

While those records don’t exactly put Purdue in the mix as a B1G contender, it’s a serious upgrade from the previous eight years under Danny Hope and Darrell Hazell. From 2008 through 2016, the Boilermakers had just one winning season and played in only two bowl games.

Brohm has also implemented a fun brand of football, one in which Purdue utilizes its offensive talents, racks up huge yardage totals and puts points on the scoreboard frequently. Because of that mindset, freshman phenom Rondale Moore was the B1G Freshman and Wide Receiver of the Year and earned All-American honors.

Purdue will have seven home games in 2019, including matchups against TCU, Nebraska and Indiana.
