Paul Chryst stresses importance of 'being in the moment' as Wisconsin hits second half of the season
It wasn’t a great first half of the season for Wisconsin.
The Badgers, who opened the year at No. 12 in the preseason AP Top 25, are currently 3-3 overall and 1-2 in B1G play. They’ve won their last two games against Illinois and Army, and their matchup with Purdue this week got that much more interesting after the Boilermakers beat Iowa last week.
But Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst is trying not to look too far ahead as his team enters the second half of its schedule. In his weekly press conference Monday morning, he said he’s sticking to the one-game-at-a-time mentality.

ESPN’s FPI predicts UW to finish 6-6 this year, including a loss this week to No. 25 Purdue. Once the Badgers get past No. 11 Iowa, they’ll certainly have some chances to get into the win column and maybe play spoiler in the B1G.
Let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves, though.
