Wisconsin absolutely throttled Michigan in Madison Saturday, 35-14. The final score wasn’t indicative of the beat-down that took place.

The Badgers didn’t just crush the Wolverines, though. They made a statement. A statement so big that it may have affected recruiting.

And in fact, the Badgers got a commitment from an athlete in California Saturday afternoon, once the game had come to a close:

Preston Zachman is rated as a 3-star athlete from Catawissa, Penn. according to 247Sports. Zachman is rated as the No. 27 player in all of Pennsylvania.

He is now the Badgers’ 17th commitment for the Class of 2020 and that class ranks No. 27 in the country and No. 5 in the Big Ten.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound prospect has scholarship offers from Air Force, Army, Temple and others.
