Wisconsin is capping another strong season with a trip to the Rose Bowl.

After finishing the season with 10 wins and B1G West title, the team had an opportunity to head to Indianapolis for a rematch with Ohio State. Unfortunately, the Badgers fell just short of a B1G Championship.

On Friday night, the Badgers handed out team awards. Saving the best for last, the team MVPs were likely some of the least surprising announcements of the season. They went to RB Jonathan Taylor and LB Chris Orr.

For Taylor, he led Wisconsin – and the entire conference – in rushing yards (1,909), attempts (299), and rushing TDs (21). Though still a junior, there is growing anticipation that this will be Taylor’s last season in Madison before he heads to the NFL Draft. Regardless of when he leaves, Taylor has already put up record-breaking numbers with the Badgers.

For Orr, he tied for the team lead in total tackles with 72. He also finished second in tackles for loss (13.5) and sacks (11.5). Both numbers are especially noteworthy for an inside linebacker as Orr transformed into a leader for the Badger defense.
