Wisconsin and Notre Dame will be taking their head-t0-head matchups to two of the most iconic stadiums in football, according to multiple reports.

On Sunday afternoon, the official Twitter account of Wisconsin’s football program tweeted out a message stating that there would be a “big announcement” made on Monday regarding the 2020, 2021 matchups between the Badgers and Fighting Irish:

That announcement, according to multiple sources, is that Wisconsin and Notre Dame will be playing the games at neutral site locations. In 2020, the game will be played at Lambeau Field while the two teams will square off at Soldier Field in 2021.

Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune reported the news:

The series between Notre Dame was significant enough, as the two programs have not played since 1964. Playing the two games in two iconic NFL stadiums makes it even more special.

Wisconsin played LSU at Lambeau Field to open the 2016 season. The Badgers topped the Tigers 16-14.

Notre Dame leads the all-time series 8-6-2.
