Wisconsin was tasked with facing a ranked Purdue team, one week after the Boilermakers were shocking the nation with a 24-7 road win over No. 2 Iowa. They had to be highly efficient on both sides of the ball to defeat No. 25 Purdue, which is something the Badgers haven’t been able to do all season long.

Wisconsin found its rhythm on the offensive side of the field as the Badgers were able to overpower a tough Purdue defense. They were able to accumulate 342 total yards of offense with 290 of them in the rushing game. Wisconsin’s defense held Purdue to only 206 total yards.

With the win over Purdue, Wisconsin snaps an 8-game losing streak vs. ranked opponents. The last previous time Wisconsin won against a ranked team was on Nov. 30, 2019, with a 38-17 road win over No. 8 Minnesota.
