Illinois will be one of four teams participating in the 2021 Hall of Fame Classic held in Kansas City, Missouri. According to 247Sports, the Fighting Illini are scheduled to play in the November event.

Along with Illinois, Arkansas, Cincinnati and Kansas State will be playing in the event next college basketball season. The event is scheduled to be played at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City from Nov. 22-23.

The first round of the tournament is scheduled for Nov. 22 and the championship and consolation games will be played the next day. All four of the games will air on ESPN but tip-off times are still to be determined.

Illinois finished the 2020-21 season with a 24-7 record and a 16-4 mark in B1G play, winning more league games than any other team. The Fighting Illini won the B1G Tournament title and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
