Jaelyn Duncan essentially had his pick of B1G East and SEC powers to choose from.

The four-star offensive tackle had offers from Florida, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee.

But Duncan, who plays for St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, announced late on Thursday night that he would be keeping it local.

He gave the Terps his verbal commitment:

Duncan is the No. 13 offensive tackle and the No. 161 player overall in the 2018 class (247sports composite). The Owings, Md. recruit is also rated No. 7 in the state of Maryland. He’s the Terps’ sixth offensive lineman rated four stars or better in the last three years.

With Duncan on board, DJ Durkin is up to nine commitments in his 2018 class. All three of the Terps’ top committed recruits (Duncan, Austin Fontaine and Evan Gregory) are ranked in the top 10 in the state of Maryland.

After a slow start, Maryland’s 2018 group is up to No. 27 nationally and No. 8 in the B1G in the 247sports class rankings.
