This won’t make the Columbus faithful very happy.

Ohio State commit Kareem Walker, the top-rated running back recruit in the 2016 class, will be making a visit this weekend. But it won’t be to watch the Buckeyes take on Maryland.

Instead, he’ll make the trip to Ann Arbor to watch the No. 18 Wolverines take on No. 13 Northwestern, according to ESPN recruiting analyst Tom VanHaaren.

Walker, a five-star recruit from Wayne, New Jersey, gave his verbal commitment to Ohio State at halftime during the national championship game. The 6-1, 210-pound tailback is the top-rated offensive recruit in Ohio State’s 2016 class, which is No. 1 in the 247sports team rankings.

He’s reportedly accompanying his teammate Quayshon Alexander, who is a Nebraska recruit making an official visit to Ann Arbor, as well.

Walker currently has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State and Wisconsin to name a few.

The trip north will be his first official visit.
