Minnesota’s Duke McGhee may have had the play of the day.
A pass from David Blough to Cole Herdman appeared to be a relatively routine catch for Purdue. The Boilers thought so, the fans thought so, even the officials thought so. Really, the only one that knew it wasn’t was McGhee.
Upon further review, though, it clearly shows McGhee ripping the ball away and holding possession as he rolls to the ground. It was one of the more impressive interceptions you’ll see. Just watch:

The interception led to a Minnesota TD to give the Gophers a 30-28 lead in the third quarter.
