Mike Riley has his guy. Well, at least he has his guy heading into the summer.

After an impressive spring game performance, Riley announced that Tanner Lee is his starter.

The news wasn’t a big surprise after the Tulane transfer looked the part in the spring game. He and Patrick O’Brien were the favorites to win the job.

Nebraska, of course, will have a new starter at quarterback for the first time since 2013. Danny Langsdorf will get a chance to work with Lee as the starter during fall camp.

The 6-4, 205-pound junior was Nebraska’s scout team MVP during the 2016 season, which he sat out because of NCAA transfer rules.
