We witnessed a scary moment inside Kinnick Stadium.
On a kickoff in the third quarter, Northwestern linebacker Brett Walsh was down on the field and appeared to be motionless for a few moments. He was carted off the field on a stretcher and was taken to the nearby University of Iowa for evaluation.
While he was being carted off the field, Walsh was able to give his teammates and the fans the thumbs up sign.
Love to see the 👍 from Brett Walsh. #B1GCats

Later in the broadcaster, it was reported that Walsh had movement in his extremities and didn’t appear to sustain any serious injury. That was also confirmed by Northwestern’s team account on Twitter.
UPDATE: Brett Walsh is being taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Was fully conscious, moving all extremities. #B1GCats
