Take it for what you will, but J.T. Barrett does not come out of this looking very good.

TMZ Sports reported on Thursday that it obtained video of the Ohio State quarterback’s arrest two weeks ago. Barrett was stopped by Columbus Police at a DUI check point and reportedly tried to talk his way out of the arrest.

According to TMZ’s findings, Barrett allegedly tried to play up the fact that he was the Ohio State quarterback in getting out of the arrest following the field sobriety tests.

Here’s what the TMZ report read:

“During the stop, the officer says he could smell booze on Barrett’s breath — though JT insists he had NOTHING to drink that night.

Barrett is given several field sobriety tests — and does fairly well — but the cop is not convinced he’s 100% sober and arrests him.

That’s when Barrett plays the “don’t you know who I am?” card … saying, “I’m the quarterback of Ohio State … officer, there’s nothing you can do?”

The officer responds, “My intention is to not take you to jail. That’s about the best I can do for you.”

Once Barrett sits in the back seat of the cruiser, he begins to scream obscenities to himself … “F**K!!! F**K!!!”

Eventually, he tells cops that fellow OSU quarterback Cardale Jones will be picking him up … and the officers find that amusing.”

Video can be seen here.

Barrett pled guilty to the OVI charges and was handed his punishment on Monday. He had his license suspended for 180 days, he had to pay a $400 fine and take a three-hour alcohol education class.

Barrett was suspended one game by Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, but he kept his spot as team captain. The sophomore quarterback will return to the field this Saturday against Illinois.
