Marshon Lattimore made jokes on Twitter the past week every time a Buckeye underclassman declared for the NFL draft. The Buckeye cornerback tweeted a new picture to capture his loneliness.

Now, Lattimore won’t be lonely anymore. He’ll join the club.

Lattimore announced on Wednesday that he’ll also be leaving Columbus early for the NFL draft:

That certainly wasn’t much of a surprise. Lattimore projects as a likely first-round pick, and could even be the first B1G player off the board.

That was after a redshirt sophomore season in which Lattimore earned first-team All-B1G honors. He hauled in four interceptions and tied for a team-high nine pass breakups. Lattimore was a key piece of an Ohio State defense that finished sixth in the country in yards allowed.

Lattimore was the third Buckeye defensive back to declare early for the draft. Gareon Conley and Malik Hooker did so last week. That gave the Buckeyes six underclassmen leaving early for the NFL.

Underclassmen have until Jan. 16 to declare for the NFL draft.
