Penn State’s bounce back season is benefiting the Lions on and off the field. Depending on the results of the pending Michigan-Ohio State game, the Lions have a chance to play for a B1G Championship.

But before the Lions took the field vs. Michigan State, they already got a victory.

Penn State got a commitment from the No. 1 2018 tight end Zack Kuntz, who was in Happy Valley on an unofficial visit on Saturday:

Kuntz is the No. 3 Pennsylvania recruit and the No. 50 player overall in the 2018 class. The 6-7, 218-pound Camp Hill tight end is the second top-50 recruit to join Penn State’s 2018 class.

His commitment gave the Lions their fifth 2018 commitment, all of whom are at least four stars or better. Penn State currently has the No. 4 class in the 247sports class rankings.

Even if the Lions don’t get to a B1G Championship, they’re are setting themselves up to be a force for years to come.
