The injuries are adding up for Penn State.
Most of those injuries came in the defensive side of the ball. But on Saturday, the Lions were dealt a tough blow on the offensive side of the ball.
Right tackle Andrew Nelson went down with what looked to be a knee injury on a Maryland sack. The replay didn’t look any better as Nelson was in noticeable pain.
James Franklin came on to the field and held Nelson’s hand as they waited for the cart to take him to the locker room.

Nelson will likely be out for the rest of Saturday and beyond. That’s tough news for a kid who missed four games last year with a knee injury.
It remains to be seen how long Nelson will be out and what exactly the injury is.
The Lions lead in the first half thanks to a dominant rushing effort.
