Purdue football was in need of a massive facilities upgrade. Two months ago, that’s what it signed up for.
The $60 million project was approved by the Board of Trustees, which means those plans get to become a reality.
The overhaul will consist of a 110,000-square foot addition to the Mollenkopf Center at the north end and would centralize the football staff to one building. The Purdue Football Performance Complex will become a three-story facility with new locker rooms, workout equipment, coaching offices, film rooms, study areas and lounging areas for players.

The project is expected to break ground in May 2016 and finish by the start of the 2017 season.
