An Indiana linebacker is exploring options outside of Bloomington, according to a report from Cole Cubelic of SEC Network.

Thursday, Cubelic tweeted out the Indiana linebacker T.D. Roof has entered his name in the transfer portal, allowing him to explore other options. He has spent just one season with the Hoosiers, and appeared in 10 games in 2018.

Roof would still have the opportunity to return to Indiana, if that was in his best interest. But the rising junior isn’t new to the transfer process.

Roof transferred to Indiana after spending the 2017 season at Georgia Tech. In one season with the Yellow Jackets, he played in 11 games and totaled 17 tackles and two sacks.

Last season was the only one Roof has spent at Indiana. He participated in 10 games and earned one start in his lone year in Bloomington. He finished the year with 39 tackles, including four for loss.

There was no mention of a potential landing spot for Roof, should he decide to leave the program.
