A report surfaced from Forbes.com that Jabrill Peppers is leaving Michigan for the NFL and that he had already hired an agent.

But that was just a report. Those weren’t Peppers’ words.

This is what he had to say about those rumors:

Peppers didn’t play in the Orange Bowl after suffering an injury in practice days before the game.

After Michigan’s Orange Bowl loss, Peppers said that he hadn’t made up his mind yet and that he could wait until the Jan. 16 underclassman deadline to announce his intentions.

The Heisman Trophy finalist is believed to be a first-round pick if he chooses to leave school early. Peppers has two years of eligibility remaining if he were to return to Ann Arbor.

Peppers was a consensus All-American and the B1G Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.
