According to MLive.com, Michigan State staff member Curtis Blackwell was suspended with pay by the university.

Blackwell is known in the recruiting community for being the previous co-director of Sound Mind Sound Body Football Academy, which has camps across the country. He served in that role until coming to Michigan State before the start of the 2013 season.

He’s officially MSU’s director of advancement and performance, though he deals mainly with the program’s recruiting efforts. He introduced MSU’s 2017 class two weeks ago on National Signing Day.

MSU announced last week that three football players and a staffer were suspended during an ongoing sexual assault investigation.

A university spokesperson did confirm Blackwell’s suspension to MLive.com. The Spartans did not, however, confirm if Blackwell’s punishment was directly related to the matter.
