There will be no charges or arrests made in association with an alleged rape that took place at the home of three Nebraska football players.

Tommy Armstrong, Trey Foster and Jordan Westerkamp were all interviewed by police following a reported assault that occurred at their home on Nov. 15.

The Lincoln Police Department held a press conference on Wednesday morning in which it dismissed the pending report.

The original report stated that “a 20-year-old woman went to a Lincoln hospital that afternoon and said she was subjected to forced sexual intercourse at 5411 N. 11th St.,” Officer Katie Flood said.

The players hosted people following their return from the Rutgers game on Nov. 14, but it wasn’t enough to be considered a “party,” according to Lincoln Chief of Police Jim Peschong.

When interviewed by the Lincoln Police Department, Armstrong said he thought the incident was “consensual” and that he and his roommates were surprised that they were even interviewed. He told the Omaha World-Herald that police told them following the interview that “they’d be fine.”

The three players have not faced any punishment from Mike Riley.

All three are expected to be active when the Huskers take on Iowa on Friday in the regular-season finale.

The university released the following statement:

“We are aware of this morning’s announcement by the Lincoln Police Department and the Lancaster County Attorney. There is no change in the status of any student-athletes. We will continue to follow University policies.”
