Nebraska ups the ante, offers four-star WR track scholarship
It was a move Nebraska had to make if it wanted to stay in the running for 2018 four-star wide receiver Joshua Moore.
On Wednesday, Moore received an offer from Nebraska’s track and field team in addition to his football offer from the school. He sent out a message regarding the offer:
I've just been informed that I now have the opportunity to run track at The University Of Nebraska!! #GBR🛑 pic.twitter.com/EB7wPF1UvH

Though a scholarship offer to run track is virtually a moot point – as the football offer would be the trump card as far as finances – the offer from the Huskers is significant. Moore has stated he wants the opportunity to participate in both sports while in college.
Nebraska’s offer on Wednesday comes just one day after LSU’s track and field program made an offer to the highly-touted receiver:

Moore is ranked as the No. 14 receiver in 2018 class and No. 72 overall, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He currently holds 53 offers.
Nebraska is currently the leader to land Moore, according to 247Sports’ crystal ball predictions. But as interest in the receiver amps up, you can bet he’s going to receive more offers from track and field coaches in the coming weeks and months.
This was an important move for Nebraska, and one essential to keeping Moore’s interest in the Huskers.
