If there was a bright spot for Nebraska’s season, it was receiver Stanley Morgan Jr.

Morgan was one of the rare certainties the Huskers had on the roster and was the biggest playmaker for the offense all season. That culminated in a record-breaking year, as Morgan finished the season with 986 yards — a program best for a single season. He also ended with 10 touchdown catches

He broke the record in Nebraska’s season finale against Iowa on Friday night.

Morgan’s night ended with seven receptions for 74 yards and a pair of touchdown catches.

Morgan might be the new single-season receiving leader in program history, but he was hoping to also hit the 1,000-yard mark, as no Husker as eclipsed that milestone in the program’s illustrious history.
