It isn’t hyperbole to suggest that Kirk Cousins is the best quarterback Terrelle Pryor played with since he made the switch to receiver.

By the sound of it, Pryor could end up being the best receiver Cousins played with.

The former Ohio State star signed a free-agent deal with the Redskins this offseason after his breakout season with the Browns. There’s still skepticism about whether or not Pryor, who only moved into a starting role as a receiver in 2016, can become the Redskins’ top target.

But Cousins seems pretty confident about Pryor’s understanding of the position.

“I like it because I’ve never had a conversation with a receiver like I’ve had with him where he said, ‘Yeah, it was two-invert, so I took it to the post. It was quarters on the backside,’” Cousins said about Pryor via CBS DC. “He really can see it and he’s going to hold me accountable, so you take the good with the bad. I love it.

“He’s an enthusiastic guy. He’s always wanting to run another route. ‘Let’s try it again, let’s do it again,’ just a positive attitude and he’s been a joy to work with thus far.”

Pryor and Cousins are both on one-year deals in Washington. Perhaps they’ll both earn each other long-term contracts.
