Corey Smith made a decision about his college football future on Friday. It involved a school in the B1G.

Smith is a 4-star RB from the 2024 class per the 247Sports Composite. He picked Penn State over the likes of Illinois, Boston College, Central Michigan, and UConn. Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin were the only other B1G schools to show interest in him.

The Penn State commit comes in at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds and also runs track and field.

Smith is a native of Waukesha, Wisconsin out of Catholic Memorial High School. He is the No. 17 RB and No. 3 prospect from Wisconsin in the 2024 class. Smith is the first RB from his class to commit to the Nittany Lions.

James Franklin’s 2024 class now has a total of 13 commits with the most recent addition of Smith. Penn State will be looking to build upon its recent success in 2022. The Nittany Lions finished the year at 11-2 after beating Utah in the Rose Bowl in what was Sean Clifford’s final game.

Penn State added another commitment from the 2024 class recently as Eagan Boyer picked the Nittany Lions on Tuesday. Boyer is a 6-foot-7, 260 pound OT out of North Carolina.
