SMU the transfer destination for former Nebraska S Cam Jones
Ex-Nebraska safety Cam Jones has announced that he will continue his college football and academic career at SMU. The former four-star prospect made an announcement on Twitter on Wednesday.
Jones entered the transfer portal in late April, following Nebraska’s spring season. He did not play as a true freshman for the Huskers due to injuries. he was redshirted during the 2018 campaign.

Jones is a native of Mansfield, Texas and was a highly-recruited defensive back in the 2018 class. Per 247Sports, he was the No. 289 overall player in the cycle and was one of the highest-rated recruits of Scott Frost’s first class.
According to 247Sports, Jones plans to appeal the NCAA for immediate eligibility, allowing him to have four years left in his college career.
