It’s that time of year.

In the NFL, teams had to trim its rosters down to 53 players, which meant hundreds of players across the league would be losing out on jobs. For Nebraska, the Huskers have plenty of talent coming through Lincoln each and every year, so it shouldn’t come as a shock that former players received bad news.

Twenty former Huskers are still on NFL rosters entering the 2019 season. The guys below were recently cut:

Cut

  • Stanley Morgan, WR, Bengals
  • Dedrick Young, LB, Browns
  • Freedom Akinmoladun, DE, Giants
  • De’Mornay Pierson-El, WR, Raiders
  • Jerald Foster, OG, Redskins
  • Devine Ozigbo, RB, Saints
  • Brandon Reilly, WR, Steelers

IR

  • Will Compton, LB, Saints
  • Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Ravens

Suspended

  • Richie Incognito, OG, Raiders
  • Randy Gregory, DE, Cowboys
