Blake Corum is off the board, hearing his name called during the 3rd round of the 2024 NFL Draft!

Michigan’s star running back is headed to Los Angeles but with a slight twist to the expected plans. Corum will head to LA to join Sean McVay’s Rams instead of hearing his name called by the LA Chargers and new head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The Rams made the call with the 83rd overall pick to grab Corum. He followed the selection of Junior Colson (who was drafted by Harbaugh’s Chargers) earlier in the 3rd round.

Corum finished his time in Ann Arbor as Michigan’s all-time record holder in multiple categories. He finished his career with back-to-back seasons of 1,200+ rushing yards and compiled 58 career rushing touchdowns, including 27 during Michigan’s 15-0 run to the national title.

Now, he joins a Rams offense led by star quarterback Matt Stafford with some complimentary pieces in the passing game. He’ll get a chance to try and carve out a role in the backfield early in his career.

Corum’s selection was quickly followed by another Michigan player with Roman Wilson coming off the board with the 84th overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers. That pick was also followed by Zak Zinter going off the board to the Cleveland Browns with the 85th overall pick.

Those selections bring Michigan’s tally of drafted players up to 7 — and counting.
