Parris Campbell has joined elite company.

During Tuesday’s Rose Bowl Game against Washington, the Ohio State wide receiver went over 1,000 receiving yards for the season, becoming just the fifth Buckeye in program history to eclipse that mark. He’s the first OSU player since Michael Jenkins (2002) to hit that mark.

The catch was also the first touchdown of the game, giving Ohio State an early 7-0 lead over the Huskies. It was Campbell’s 12th touchdown reception of the game.

While we’re discussing impressive accomplishments, the touchdown pass was the 48th of the year for Dwayne Haskins.

The other four Ohio State receivers to go over 1,000 yards in a single season are David Boston, Terry Glenn, Cris Carter and Jenkins.

Campbell currently ranks fifth in receiving yards in a single season in program history. Jenkins, who sits at fourth, finished the 2002 season with 1,076 yards.
