Big Ten Championship Odds: Who’s Favored to Win the 2023 Big Ten Championship?
The Big Ten Championship takes place every year at the end of the college football regular season to determine the Big Ten conference’s season champion. The game matches the division winners from the Big Ten East division and the Big Ten West division. Typically this game, along with other conference championship games, is held during the first week of December after the regular season is completed (but before the bowl season gets underway). The Big Ten Championship Game has taken place every year since the game’s inception in 2011. The winner of the game receives an automatic berth into the Rose Bowl unless the winner makes the four-team Playoff (or if the Rose Bowl is one of the semifinal games for the four-team Playoff).
Despite other conferences having conference championship games (The SEC has had a conference championship game since 1992), the Big Ten did not institute a conference championship game until 2011. Prior to this, the Big Ten determined its champion through regular season play. Moreover, with the conference only having 11 teams, technically the Big Ten was ineligible to hold a conference championship game (The NCAA required a conference have 12 teams with two divisions in order to hold a conference championship game). When the Big Ten added Nebraska in 2010, the conference went to 12 teams and thus began an annual championship game in 2011. Now in 2023, the Big Ten Conference is up to 14 schools competing for its NCAA Football Championship.
The Big Ten Championship has taken place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis since the inception of the game in 2011.

Big Ten Championship Odds: How to read them
If you are new to betting, here are a few tips on how to understand and read the odds that you see on this page. If a team has a plus number, say +600, this means that if you bet $100 on this team to win, you would win $600 as a result.
