Reece Udinski is officially a Terp.

On Thursday, Maryland announced that Udinski has joined the football program. He transferred to the team after spending most of his college career at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). He owns a number of records for the Keydets.

In 2019, Udinski set a program record by throwing for 3,276 yards. He also tossed 19 touchdown passes that year, the second-most in school history and threw an FCS record 368 consecutive passes without an interception at one point in his career.

Udinski was the starter at VMI again this spring, choosing to suit up for the Keydets one more time before transferring to Maryland. He appeared in four games for the Keydets before suffering a season-ending injury.

In those four games, Udinski compoleted 124-of-172 passes for 1,087 yards, 7 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions. He also rushed for 58 additional yards and 3 scores on 34 carries.

Maryland ended the 2020 season with a 2-3 record.
