The Pac-12 has reportedly found its next commissioner. It’s a name you likely haven’t heard before, either.

Ralph Russo of the Associated Press reported on Thursday afternoon that the Pac-12 is planning to name MGM president George Kliavkoff as the next commissioner of the conference. He will replace Larry Scott.

“He’s proven he knows how to get (expletive) done,” one source to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic. “He’s not Larry Scott. He’s gonna listen, collaborate and build trust with ADs.”

An official announcement is expected to come from the Pac-12 later today.

Kliavkoff had been the president of Entertainment and Sports while at MGM. He’s reportedly trusted to lead a big-time sports property such as the Pac-12.
