Ohio State basketball’s coach staff is reportedly set.

The Buckeyes are planning to hire Seton Hall assistant Tony Skinn for their final opening, according to Jerry Carino of the Asbury Park Press and Gannett New Jersey.

Skinn replaces Terry Johnson, who left for a similar role at Purdue earlier this offseason.

Skinn is a young coach who was playing professional basketball as recently as 2012. He started his collegiate coaching career in 2015 at Louisiana Tech before moving to Seton Hall in 2018.

As a player, Skinn played at Blinn College and George Mason. Skinn was a key member of the 2006 George Mason team that made it all the way to the Final Four as a No. 11-seed. He was the team’s second-leading scorer, averaging 12.6 points per game. He had 10 points, five rebounds and two assists in George Mason’s famous win over No. 1-seeded UConn in the Elite Eight.

Ohio State and Seton Hall are expected to participate in the same early-season tournament: The 2021 Fort Myers Tip-Off.
