Initial signs of Mike Woodson’s start at Indiana have been promising, but one Hoosier from the 2020-21 squad is indeed moving on.
Since his hiring, Woodson has put together an impressive start in Bloomington. He has been able to keep a number of key players who had entered the transfer portal while also attracting some important pieces from other schools via the portal.
However, Jerome Hunter announced Sunday evening that he is leaving the Hoosiers. In a note shared on Twitter, Hunter indicated that he is committing to Xavier as his next stop.
I just want to thank all of my supporters that have followed me throughout my career at Indiana. I have talked a lot with my family and the Xavier coaching staff and I believe in what they are building and also they believe in what I can do.🙏🏽📍#513 ⚔️#team 100 pic.twitter.com/G9KqJ8rkSD

Hunter appeared in 55 games over two seasons at Indiana, including 25 games (four starts) this past season. He finished sixth on the team with 6.3 points per game and shot 43% from the field.
Hunter initially joined Indiana as a four-star prospect and the No. 59 player nationally for the class of 2018. Best of luck to Hunter as he moves on and continues his career with the Musketeers.
