Almost every team in the NFL has received approval to operate at 100% capacity this fall, according to Judy Battista of NFL.com.
This week, Battista tweeted out that team presidents were told on a call that 30 of the league’s 32 teams have received approval to move forward with 100% capacity for games during the 2021 NFL season. The two organizations that have not received the nod at this time are Indianapolis and Denver.
It’s another step toward a return to normalcy, after NFL organizations were forced to limit attendance based on state and local health guidelines and recommendations. Some teams were not permitted to have any fans at all.
NFL team presidents told on a call today 30 of 32 teams already have approval for full capacity stadiums at start of preseason, remaining two (Denver & Indy) on track. NFL’s Peter O’Reilly said training camps can have fans in attendance. Most camps will open July 31.

The NFL was able to make it through the entire season through the pandemic, even crowning the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as Super Bowl champions. There were some bumps along the road, but the league largely did a good job in ensuring the health and safety of the players, coaches and staff while still playing games.
The 2021 season should look a little more normal.
