Wisconsin has reportedly found its new athletic director, and it will be an internal hire for the department.

Tuesday, ESPN Milwaukee reported that Chris McIntosh is expected to be named the next athletic director at Wisconsin. A press conference is reportedly coming on Wednesday, though a time was not reported.

McIntosh has been the deputy athletic director at Wisconsin since July 2017. He has been working with the Badgers in the athletic department since December 2014.

Before taking on his current role, McIntosh was the associate director of business development. This news comes after Barry Alvarez announced his retirement as the athletic director at Wisconsin weeks ago.

Alvarez had served as the athletic director at Wisconsin since 2004. He was also the head coach of the Badgers football team from 1990-2005.
